Serious Sam Classics: Revolution is a combined version of the 1st Croteam released Serious Sam Classic: The First Meeting and Serious Sam Classic: The 2nd Meeting. Serious Sam Classics: Revolution is Aligator Pit, an independent Serious Sam development team with support from Croteam. It was released on August 30, year 2019.
The plot of Serious Sam Classics: Evolution is the same as the original Serious Sam one. The Bright Island campaign is exclusive to Serious Sam Classics: The Revolution is set after the Maya but before the Persian Ritual of Serious Sam: The 2nd Encounter. Something wrong with the Mayan Gate makes Sam find himself on the titular island, a place between realities that serves as a safe haven for time travelers. The Syrians expected that such an event could happen and put security measures on the island to allow them to return to the popular spaces.
The island was once part of a lost continent known as Mu, which ended up during the Sirians’ first expedition to Earth. An attempt to enter the Quantum Ocean, a plane of existence that was supposed to connect different realities, went wrong and released a huge elemental energy that caused Mu to take the island and the vast territory of Syria ( called ‘The 1st’) in this strange interdimensional kingdom. In addition, the powers that manifested as Elemental Golems eventually led to the destruction of the originals. Fortunately, their technology still works, so Sam travels to different parts of Bright Island looking for a way out while fighting off Mental’s henchmen, who also find a way in. on the island.
He later discovers the underground library of Firsts, which allows NETRICSA to find out where their devices need to be rebuilt to return to their original mission.
