Apex Legends is a free battle royale-hero shooter game. This game is developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts.It turned into launched for playstation 4,windows, and xbox one in february 2019, for nintendo switch in march 2021, and for ps5 and xbox collection x/s in march 2022. A mobile version of the game made for the touch screen called Apex Legends Mobile was released in May 2022 on Android and iOS. This game supports cross-platform play, apart from the mobile platforms mentioned above.
Before the game, players form teams of two or three and choose from among pre-designed characters with special abilities, called “Legends”. The game has two game modes. In “Battle Royale”, up to 20 three-person or 30-person duos arrive on the island and search for weapons and equipment before trying to defeat all players in battle. The playground on the island is shrinking over time, forcing players to move around or end up outside the playground, which can be fatal. The last team alive wins the round. In “Arenas”, players form a team of three players and fight against another team in a 3v3 death match in several rounds to determine the winner of the game. Teams win when their team is at least three points and two points ahead.
Apex Legends is set in the same sci-fi world as Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall series, and many characters from the Titanfall series appear as minor characters or as playable legends. Work on the game began at the end of 2016, although the project remained secret until the beginning. The 2019 release of the game came as a surprise, because until then it was thought that Respawn Entertainment was working on the third installment in the Titanfall franchise, the previous game. Apex Legends received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised its gameplay, progression system and mix of elements from different genres. Some considered him to be worthy of other royale games. Apex Legends surpassed 25 million players in its first weekend and 50 million in its first month. As of April 2021, it has approximately 100 million players, making it one of the most popular video games of all time by player count.
