Bayonetta 3 is a year 2022 adventure action game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. Bayonetta 3 is directed by Yusuke Miyata and produced by Yuji Nakao, with Bayonetta creator Hideki Kamiya serving as supervising director. Bayonetta 3 was announced in December year 2017 and released on October 28, year 2022. Bayonetta 3 game follows the witch-hunting angel Bayonetta, who has to face off against a deadly virus called Homunculi, and an entity known as the Singularity that threatens to destroy the multiverse. He is aided by a variety of forms, including covenant forms of his own universe; and training a new witch named Viola.
Following its first announcement at The Game Awards year 2017, information about the game was dormant while Platinum Games was working to release a game like Astral Chain, which was developed at the same time. The game had its first full gameplay reveal in September year 2021 during a Nintendo Direct presentation. Bayonetta’s original actress, Hellena Taylor, was replaced by Jennifer Hale after a debt dispute. The game received generally positive reviews from critics, with praise for the gameplay, but criticism for the story, camera controls, and performance issues.
Bayonetta 3, like its predecessors, is a hack and slash game in which players control the legendary Bayonetta as she fights various battles using a combination of melee and firefighting. Stopping the enemy’s attack in the last second triggers a state known as “Magic Time”, in which time and enemies slow down, allowing Bayonetta to continue attacking them without stopping, or go directly to solve environmental problems. Unique to this game is the role of, “Demon Masquerade” and “Demon Masquerade”, the 1st is different from the previous Climax Summon and Umbran Climax in the first two titles, but allows players to control directly. One of Bayonetta’s infernal demons to perform various special attacks and abilities, some of which are useful for particular situations depending on the demon in control. The latter, meanwhile, allows Bayonetta to connect directly with the summoned Infernal Demon, giving her access to magic-based abilities, including new attacks and transformation options.
