Call of Duty: Warzone (CODW) is a free action royale video game released on March 10, 2020 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Call of Duty: Warzone game is part of Year 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and is connected to Year 2020’s Call of Duty: Black Ops: Cold War and Year 2021’s Call of Duty: Vanguard, but it does not require the purchase of any of the mentioned titles, and it is introduced. During Season 2 of Modern Warfare content. Call of Duty: Warzone was developed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software (which later counted as the sole developer following the integration of Cold War content) and published by Activision. Call of Duty: Warzone allows online combat between one-fifty players, although some versions of the game have a limited time that supports two-hundred players.This game features both cross platform play and cross platform progress between the 3 aforementioned titles. Initially, the game had 2 main modes: Battle Royale and Plunder. Warzone introduces a new in game currency system that can be used to “Buy Stations” and around the map. “Loadout” drop is an example of a change of currency for a small chance of playing a custom class (which is shared with the standard Modern Warfare mode before Season six, v1.29, but now exclusive to Warzone). Players can also use coins to purchase items such as “killstreaks” and gas masks. Money can be found by looting buildings and killing players who have money in them. In the beginning, Warzone only offered Trios, a team of three players. However, in the free content update, Solos, Duos and Quads were added to the game.
The game received generally positive reviews from critics. In April 2021, Activision announced that Warzone has more than 100 million active players. A sequel called Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 was released on November 16, 2022, as a free-to-play component of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. , while a mobile version of Warzone is also in development.
