Destiny 2: The Witch Queen game is a major expansion for Destiny 2, the 1st person shooter video game from Bungie. Representing the sixth expansion and the 5th year of expanded content for Destiny 2, it was scheduled to be released in late year 2021, but due to the effects of the COVID 19 pandemic, the expansion has been delayed by three months and was published on month February 22 , year 2022. Before its release, Bungie reported that The Witch Queen had more than one million pre-orders, “on its way to becoming the most ordered expansion in Destiny 2 history”.
The expansion revolves around Savatthûn, The Witch Queen, sister of Oryx, who is the antagonist of the first expansion of Destiny year (2014), The Taken King year (2015). The expansion adds new content across the game, including new characters, Player vs. Environment, Player vs. Player Map, player gear, new attacks and weapons. 2 new dungeons and reworked ammo, “King’s Fall” from The Taken King, were released during the year. Witch Woman has four seasons of content offerings for 5 Years of the game: Season of the Risen, next to the expansion, Season of the Haunted in May, Season of the Plunder in August, and the current and final season, Season of the Seraph in December, which will continue until the launch of the next expansion, Lightfall, on month February 28, year 2023. With the release of Lightfall, the content of this season will be removed from the game except for the various battlefield missions of time. which arose in the Age of Seraphs. The Witch introduces a new realm, the throne world of Savatthûn, above Mars in the Ascendant sector. In addition to the global event, a new attack \”Vow of the Discple”, was released on month March 5, year 2022. Two more prisons will also be added during the expansion.
