FIFA 21 (International Federation of Association Football) is a football simulation video game published by Electronic Arts as part of the FIFA series. FIFA 21 is the 28th installment in the FIFA series and was released on October 9, Year 2020 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One. An upgraded version was released for Xbox Series X and Series S and PlayStation 5 on December 3, Year 2020, in addition to the Stadia version in March Year 2021.
Ultimate Team sees the addition of co-op operations in the form of Squad Battles, Division Rivals, and Friendlies and online friendships to unlock objectives and rewards. FUT has been shrouded in controversy as it has been classified as a box office and source of online gambling. In January Year 2019, EA agreed to stop selling FIFA Points in Belgium, following government pressure, Media, Culture and Sports. Likewise, a Dutch judge ruled that EA should pay €0.5M per week until the boxes are removed. Players can customize their own FUT Stadium with tifos, trophies, pyrotechnics, music, stats and grandstands as their FUT Club grows. In FIFA 21 game stats can now be upgraded individually for special cards (example given is if Trent Alexander-Arnold scores a free kick for something in the TOTW format, the first free kick in ‘zero may be higher than its other story with form). FUT Live Friends combines House Rules and Team Rules to create a variety of game styles that change throughout the year. The redesigned menu allows direct access to teams and stadiums from anywhere in the main menu. In the new FUT event, players can choose a faction and join the FUT community to unlock packs, coins, club items, or player and team event goals. Players can work across cities and earn shared rewards by completing goals as a collective.
