Metro Exodus is a 1st person shooter video game developed by 4A Games and published by Deep Silver. Metro Exodus is the 3rd installment in the Metro video game trilogy based on the novel by Dmitry Glukhovsky, following the events of Metro year 2033 and Metro: The Light. It was released in year 2019 for Windows, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Stadia and in year 2020 for Amazon Luna. Linux and MacOS versions were released in year 2021. An enhanced version of the game was released for Windows on May 6, year 2021, and for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on June 18, year 2021. Metro Exodus game received generally positive reviews from critics and sold 6 units in February year 2022. Metro Exodus is a stealth 1st person shooter. Set in the wasteland of the ancient Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan, the player will face new dangers and fight against mutant creatures and hostile humans. The player uses hand-crafted weapons that can be customized through scrap and skill sets. Metro Exodus game consists of a mix of linear levels and sandbox environments. It also includes changing weather patterns, night cycles, and environments that change over time as the story unfolds. It takes place over a year in the game. Metro Exodus is set in year 2035, 1 year after the events of Metro: Last Light, in a post-apocalyptic world destroyed by nuclear war. The game continues the story from the “Redemption” ending of Metro: Last Light. In the same way as in the previous two entries, the player takes the role of Artyom, who escapes from the Moscow Metro and embarks on a journey across the continent with his friends in the Far East, on a locomotive called “Aurora” . The story spans over a year, beginning with a severe nuclear meltdown on a train. Another main character, returning from the previous game in the book Metro year 2035, is Anna – who is now Artyom’s wife. Miller, Anna’s father and leader of the Spartan series, also returns from previous games and novels.
