Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem (Serious Sam 5) is a year 2022 1st person shooter developed by Timelock Studio and Croteam, and published by Devolver Digital. A standalone expansion to Serious Sam 4, the game was released on January 25, year 2022 for Microsoft Windows and October 6, year 2022 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Serious Sam: Siberian Mayhem Vision takes place in Russia, somewhere in deep Siberia. Events take place in the alternate timeline of Serious Sam 4, between the last two levels of the main game. Landing on the continent, Sam finds a radio and tries to contact HQ without success. Sam walks into an oil refinery with an SOS signal on the transmission tower. Stone reaches the tower and finds a survivor, but the Draconian Burner kills the man. Sam climbs the communications tower and hears a radio broadcast from Igor Ledov, the leader of the local gang. Igor knows about Brand’s betrayal and calls all those who use weapons to shoot his plane in sight. Ledov helps Sam and asks the hero to go to the village of Kalinovka in southern Siberia, where the group will be waiting for him. After exiting the refinery, Sam finds transportation and heads south. Meanwhile, the Russian Earth Defense Force found Brand’s plane and shot it down. Continuing south, Sam traverses the Siberian tundra and forest, wiping out alien settlements. In one of the cities surrounded by Octanian forces, Sam meets One-Eye Olga, a famous Russian runner believed to have been killed during the portal storm in Tunguska. Olga reveals that she was shot and killed by enemy soldiers, was hiding in an abandoned church at the time and was responsible for shooting down Brands’ plane. Sam and Olga fight against the approaching enemy forces. On their way, the heroes listen to Ledov’s music and remember Father Mikhail who was recently killed. Soon, the train arrived at Ustinov station. Ledov says that the group had to go through the city and get to the port, from there the boat was pumped to Tunguska Bay.
