Starfield game is an upcoming role-playing action video game from Bethesda Game Studios published by Bethesda Softworks. Starfield video game was officially announced at Bethesda’s E3 press conference in year 2018. Starfield game is set in an open world and will be the latest intellectual property developed by Bethesda in more than 25 years. Starfield game is scheduled to be released in the 1st half of year 2023 for Microsoft Xbox Series X/S and Windows. The game is located in an area that extends about fifty years outside our solar system called The Settled Systems. Around the 2310 year, the 2 largest factions of the game, the United Colonies and the Freestar Collective, were involved in a conflict called the Colony War. Starfield game is set twenty years after the war, with the leaders enjoying an uneasy peace. The player takes on the role of a customizable character who is a member of Constellation, an organization of astronauts. The game can be played in1st or 3rd perspective.
The game represents the 1st new intellectual property from Bethesda Game Studios in over 25 years and is described by director Todd Howard as “Skyrim in space”. The studio has been involved in open ended games as far back as year 1994, according to Howard: they got the rights to make a game based on the Adventure game series, but they soon lost it; Their Delta V game in year 1994 was part of the Touring franchise but never really caught on. Their tenth Planet is a canceled space combat game that was released in month October year 1997, which was inspired by the atmosphere of Starfield. Howard said they had the rights to Star Trek in the 2000s and he came up with an idea for a role playing game in that setting, but it didn’t happen.
Although Bethesda wanted to make a science fiction game for some time and had a strong idea for its game style, it took time to prepare the ideas behind Starfield that would separate it from other science fiction games that came leave.
