Final Fantasy XVI / Final Fantasy 16 game is an upcoming action game developed and published by Square Enix. The 16th chapter of the Final Fantasy series, its release is scheduled for month June 22, year 2023 on PlayStation 5 as a special season. Final Fantasy XVI / Final Fantasy 16 game will feature a split open area and a combat based system that involves both melee and magic based combat. There are also recurring features from the series, including Chocobos and monsters called Eikons, who are fought as bosses and used by using their powers in battle. Final Fantasy 16 / Final Fantasy XVI takes place on Valisthea, a world divided between six nations which hold power by access to magic crystals and the dominant, humans who act as hosts for each nation. Tensions between nations are intensifying while a disease nicknamed the burn begins to consume the ground. Clive Rosfield, guardian of his younger brother Joshua, sees his kingdom destroyed and sets out on a quest for revenge and the dark Eikon Ifrit.
Beginning the development concept in year 2015, the team included Hiroshi Takai as director,Naoki Yoshida as producer, artists Hiroshi Minagawa and Kazuya Takahashi, Kazutoyo Maehiro as creative writer and director, Masayoshi Soken as composer and Capcom veteran Ryota Suzuki as fight designer. Yoshida’s goal was to create a dark fairy tale that would have a broad appeal and promote the series. The COVID 19 pandemic affected its production and promotion, and then through the invasion of Ukraine. Final Fantasy XVI is an action-adventure game in which players control protagonist Clive Rosfield and a group of AI-controlled friends across an open space isolated on the continent of Valistea. The fight revolves around a combination of melee and magic attacks, and Clive can let it go. During the game, Clive finds himself in a fight with monsters called Eikons, where their battle has a dedicated machine. After defeating them, Clive gained control of the fighting system around them. Recurring elements from Final Fantasy, such as Chocobo galliforms and monster types, are included in the game world.
