Gran Turismo 7 (GT 7) is a simulation racing video game developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. Gran Turismo 7 game is the eighth installment in the Gran Turismo series. The game was announced on June 11, year 2020 during the PlayStation 5 presentation event and released on March 4, year 2022 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, making it the first installment in the series. Gran Turismo 7 game will also feature full virtual reality support compatible with PlayStation VR2 on February 22, year 2023 via a free game update. Gran Turismo 7 received generally positive reviews from critics, praising its graphics and gameplay. Player reception is poor due to excessive use of microtransactions. Gran Turismo 7 introduces the return of the single player campaign, the GT simulation model. Other returning events are the return of traditional racing tracks and cars, driving schools, special events, repair shops, competitions, car dealers and GT Auto to keep you in style the new GT game, Brand Central and Discover launched in Gran Turismo Sport. The player will progress through the service of the GT Cafe to unlock features as many, as well as all cars and tracks.
Gran Turismo 7 game also features the return of dynamic weather and weather effects, which 1st appeared in Gran Turismo 5 and Gran Turismo 6. Although the game includes a single-player campaign, like Gran Turismo Sport, the game requires a constant internet connection for players to save their progress. Kazunori Yamauchi created a program explaining that this decision was made to prevent hacking and cheating. However, the game mode is often called offline.
For the PlayStation 5 version, the game uses the controller’s increased processing power, dedicated ray-tracing hardware, custom SSD storage, the Tempest Engine, and the DualSense controller to support features such as advanced haptic feedback, exciting and objects, 3D spatial audio, instant ray tracing effect and reduced loading times.
