The Lies of P is an RPG video game developed by Round8 Studio and published by Neowiz Games, based on Carlo Collodi’s novel The Adventures of Pinocchio. It is slated for release on Microsoft PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series in year 2023. Game System P is a 3rd-person action video game. The player controls the humanoid Pinocchio and travels through the city of Krath, exploring the environment and fighting various biomechanical enemies.
In the game you wake up in an abandoned train station in Krat, a city full of madness and bloodshed. In front of you is a Play as Pinocchio, a puppet mechanoid, and fight all your way to find this mysterious person. But don’t expect any help along the way, and don’t make the mistake of trusting anyone. You must stop lying to others if you hope to become human.
The player also has the option to replace Pinocchio’s body parts, unlocking new abilities. The decisions that the player makes during some parts affect the course of events, go to the city of Krat, full of chaos and madness. Pinocchio must find his creator, master Geppetto and overcome the tragedy that befell the town, trying to become a man. The development and release of P was produced by Round8 Studio under the direction of Chiwon Choi.
The game uses the Unreal Engine. The city of Krat, which is the main setting of the game, comes from the dark times of the Belle Époque and is “a representation of a ruined city without progress”.
