Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is an adventure action video game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega for the PlayStation 4. Yakuza 6: The Song of Life game is the 7th mainline entry in the Yakuza series and the last mainline game to feature Kazuma Kiryu as the main character protagonist, and was released in Japan in December year 2016. The English version was released in Southeast Asia in March year 2018 and globally the following month. Versions for Xbox One and Windows were released in March year 2021. Yakuza 6: The Song of Life game was followed by Yakuza Kiwami 2, the sequel to the game, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the next installment, released in year 2020.
Yakuza 6 is an action game set in an open world environment (OWE) and played from a 3rd person perspective. Yakuza 6: The Song of Life like other Yakuza titles with mixed reviews and gameplay styles beat them to ragdoll physics. Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is the 1st game in the series to use the new Dragon game engine (it was later used in Yakuza Kiwami 2, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Judgment), which covers the layout and the battle system compared to past games. Yakuza 6: The Song of Life also features an advanced version of Yakuza 5’s Dragon Spirit mode, called extreme temperature mode, where Kiryu is able to punch as long as his temperature remains, and his finishers can change become a heat wave that takes away a lot of health. . In addition, as used later in Yakuza Kiwami 2, the game divides the experience into different types and the player can give himself different upgrades by using the experience of the right type.
