Little Nightmares 2 is a horror-puzzle action game developed by Tarsier Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is a prequel to Little Nightmares year 2017. The story follows Mono, who must work with 6, the protagonist of the previous game, to survive the dangers of the Pale City and uncover its secrets. The game was released on Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch, Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 11, year 2021. The updated version, titled Little Nightmares II: Upgraded Edition, was developed by Supermassive Games and released on August 25, year 2021 for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S.
Little Nightmares 2 is similar to its predecessor; it takes place in a 2.5D world. The player will explore the world, sometimes encountering situations such as platforms or getting stuck in puzzles that must be solved to continue. Unlike the first game, the player is completely helpless; Mono has the ability to grab certain objects and swing them around to break things or protect smaller enemies, although he, like 6, will rely on stealth and the environment to avoid larger enemies. The player also has the option to call six and hold their hands to ensure they stay together. They often work together to solve environmental puzzles and defeat or escape enemies, such as a series where they both have to use weapons. Little Nightmares 2 game also features collectible hats and shiny items, with the latter unlocking the next level by collecting them all.
Mono, a boy with a paper bag on his head, wakes up from a dream to a door that looks at the end of the corridor. He walks through the desert into a dilapidated house. He freed 6, a masked hunter who lived there and was imprisoned.
